Grab that leftover champagne from last night and put on your favorite heels, because it’s time to go over last night’s Golden Globes looks!
Did anyone else feel like the celebrities were off their game last night? I couldn’t even bring myself to put Sarah Jessica Parker on my worst list… but I was this close to doing it. DON’T DO THIS TO ME, SJP.
So here are my favorites and worst picks from last night’s show.
Lilly Collins in Zuhair Murad: Usually when Lilly Collins shows up on a screen, her eyebrows are all I can focus on, but this dress stole the show. She truly looked like a modern day Princess and I loved that her lip color has a velvet effect. And let’s be real… her eyebrows are always on point.
Natalie Portman in Prada: Natalie looked so classy in this Prada dress, and truly channeled her inner Jackie Kennedy. I could go without the earrings, but still, this look was one of my favorites.
Viola Davis: Does it matter what Viola Davis wears when she has arms like that? But seriously, that color looks beyond gorgeous on her, and her makeup is flawless.
Felicity Jones in Gucci: Sometimes the bottom of a dress or the top of a dress is gorgeous, but doesn’t coincide with one another. This is not one of those times because both are terrible. I love the combination of black and pink, but that’s about where the love stops.
Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen: What. Is. Going. On? Why does Nicole’s stylist always try and sabotage her? And why doesn’t Nicole fire them? If I had to say one nice thing, I would say that the bottom of her sleeves had an interesting detail that kind of reminded me a bit of Edward Scissorhands (which is okay in my book, since it’s one of my favorite movies).
Janelle Monae in Armani Prive: It really pains me to put Janelle on this list because she is one of the most stunning women in the industry, but how can anyone get behind this? Starting from the top with her hair, to the very bottom of the high-low hem (and that mesh detail in-between), I don’t know how this outfit was approved.
Who were your favorites from last night?
