Confession time: I am obsessed with keeping my teeth clean. Ever since I was a kid, I was always on top of my game when it came to taking care of my dental hygiene. In college I was the girl that would come home drunk from the bar at 3AM and no matter how tired I was or how much tequila I had, I always flossed and brushed my teeth. As my dentist says (which yes, I proudly repeat often because I’m a loser), I’m a “a 30-year-old unicorn” because I’ve never had a cavity. Knock on wood!

But I also have some bad habits that lately have my teeth not looking as white as I’d like them. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve increased my hot tea intake from a couple of cups a week to a couple of cups a day. I used to drink it out of a straw, but in my quest to be more eco-friendly, I’ve stopped using them and always forget my reusable ones at home. So I'm more-often-than-not sipping my drink white also staining my teeth. I’ve been on the market for a toothbrush that would offer me a deeper clean, and at the advice of my dentist, I knew it was time to upgrade to something more adult-like that would help me keep my cavity-free status that I’m so embarrassingly proud of.
In walks Smile Brilliant. I recently had the chance to try out their new cariPRO electric toothbrush over the last couple of weeks, and I can NOT believe it has taken me this long to try out an electric toothbrush. I’m almost embarrassed to say that my entire adult life I’ve manually brushed, counting the seconds in my head or using the timer on my phone to make sure I’m brushing for the appropriate time. I can’t tell you how much cleaner my teeth feel! The caiPRO removes 7x more plaque than a manual toothbrush – so gross to think all those germs that were left behind before, right? The toothbrush also has various settings for different types of brushing experiences. I have pretty sensitive teeth, so I use the “sensitive” setting for every day use, and a few times a week use the “white” and “clean” setting for a deeper clean (especially on days when I forget my reusable straws).

There’s also a setting for your gums, since, let’s face it – they’re probably being neglected by your manual toothbrush. But my favorite part about the toothbrush is the 2-minute timer, so I know I’m appropriately brushing my teeth and also not going overboard. It also charges very quickly and lasts a very long time on its own. For reference, my husband has been testing it out (with his own brush head, we’re not that gross) every day and from the both of us using it, we’ve only had to charge it once. And if you’re a weirdo like him (no judgment) and like to brush your teeth in the shower, it’s fully waterproof. Side note: he’s a huge fan and is ordering his own!
The best part is, the cariPRO is super affordable. Starting at only $119, it holds its weight against other electric toothbrush companies that charge an arm-and-a-leg. They also offer a 2-year-warranty, and if you're like me and like to try things before you commit, they offer a 60 days money back guarantee. So why wouldn’t you want to give it a shot? Your teeth deserve it!
They’re also offering 20% off any caiPRO Ultrasonic electric toothbrushes! You can take advantage of the offer by shopper here and using the code beanandthestalk20 at check out! Also check out all of the features, including the tongue scraper and the five different setting, here.
I promise you, your mouth will thank you and your dentist will be very pleased.
