What’s fall without apple picking?
A couple of weekends ago we made a trip to Kuipers Family Farm for a day of apple picking with Heidy, her husband, and her baby boy. It was the perfect way to kick off the season (even though we had a couple of 80 degree days after that) and really got my excited for Halloween. Kuipers Family Farm is worth the trip – it’s the picture perfect place (AKA very Instagram-able) and outside of the pumpkin patch and apple orchards, they have the cutest shop. Inside they sell kitchen knick-knacks – which I’m such a sucker for – holiday decorations, homemade food products, and so much more. Also there are apple cider donuts… which to be honest, it’s worth it just for them. It’s crazy to think that next year when we go back we will have our baby with us, and Heidy’s son will be running around!
I absolutely love fall and it’s my favorite season by far. Outside of it being around my birthday, Halloween is my favorite holiday and my husband and I got married in October. I also love the anticipation of the upcoming holiday seasons and the nights where you can sleep with the windows open comfortably under a blanket. ALSO who doesn’t love shopping for fall clothing? Oversized sweaters, leather jackets, boots… I’m going broke just thinking about it.
